The Wilson Benesch ACT Turntable, also known as the Full Circle turntable, is a precision-engineered analog turntable that combines advanced materials and innovative design. It features a belt-driven, two-speed acrylic platter with a diameter of 12 inches, complemented by a cantilevered arm-mounting platform. The tonearm is the ACT 0.5 model, constructed from carbon-fiber composite with a kinematic bearing design, offering an effective length of 233mm and an overhang of 18mm. The turntable is designed to deliver detailed, transparent sound with a commanding low-frequency response and an airy midrange. It is often paired with the Ply medium-output moving-coil cartridge, which has a nude elliptical stylus and a copper coil over iron former, optimized for tracking forces between 1.8 and 2.0 grams. The turntable and tonearm combination is recognized for its innovative use of carbon fiber composites, providing maximum torsional stiffness and vibration damping.
