The Wells Audio Milo is a solid-state stereo headphone amplifier handcrafted in California, designed to offer audiophiles a powerful and musical listening experience with a small footprint. It delivers up to 18 watts RMS into 8 ohms with extremely low distortion and a flat frequency response from 16 Hz to 30 kHz. The Milo combines the speed and control of solid-state amplification with a musicality often associated with tube amps, providing detailed, clear, and natural sound reproduction. It features a unique vertical design with dual heat sinks for efficient cooling and offers both single-ended and optional balanced inputs. The Milo is highly regarded for its build quality, sonic performance, and ability to drive demanding headphones such as the Hifiman Susvara and Abyss Diana Phi. Multiple upgrade levels are available, including cryogenically treated parts, noise-cancelling technology, premium components, and a high-end stepped attenuator with Vishay "naked Z foil" resistors for enhanced musicality. The amplifier is suitable for a wide range of headphones but is less ideal for very sensitive IEMs without attenuation options.
