About the INT202
The Weiss INT202 is a unidirectional stereo Firewire to AES/EBU interface designed to connect computers with external DACs, converting Firewire digital audio streams into AES/EBU and S/PDIF formats. It supports sampling frequencies of 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz with word lengths up to 24 bits. The device features jitter elimination technology (JET PLL) for low-jitter clock regeneration, ensuring bit-perfect audio transfer. It includes two Firewire 400 inputs (one for daisy-chaining), two XLR and two RCA outputs capable of single-wire stereo or dual-wire mode at higher sampling rates. The INT202 offers digital volume control, absolute polarity control, and bit transparency checking via supplied test files. Power can be supplied via Firewire bus or an external 8-12 V power supply. The unit is housed in a silver anodized aluminum frame with front panel controls for power and transparency check mode, and an optional infrared remote control for volume and polarity adjustments. Dimensions are approximately 10.5 cm width and depth, 4.4 cm height (4.7 cm with feet).
