The Wave Kinetics NVS-150 (commonly referenced as the NVS Reference Turntable) is a high-end analog turntable engineered for audiophiles seeking the pinnacle of vinyl playback. It features a direct-drive system with laboratory-grade motor control, a high-inertia platter, and speed accuracy to 1 part per 1000. The turntable is capable of both 33 1/3 and 45 RPM playback. Its construction is notable for being machined from a single large billet of aluminum, resulting in an extremely rigid core and minimal vibration. The NVS-150 employs a proprietary vibration control system with three piers, each containing advanced damping mechanisms to isolate the turntable from both floor-borne and air-borne vibrations. An additional isolation platform further decouples the system from the ground, reducing transmitted vibration as low as 2–3 Hz.
