About the 2NS Interface

The Wave Kinetics 2NS Speaker Interface is an innovative loudspeaker system that uses a vertical line array of six small woofer drivers, each with 32mm maximum excursion, capable of low distortion up to 20 kHz. The design distributes the low-frequency load across multiple small drivers, achieving the low-frequency extension of a 10-inch woofer but with lower distortion. The cabinet employs a transmission line design, providing a low-frequency extension of -3dB at 25 Hz and -6dB at 15 Hz. The tweeter is a special air motion tweeter made to specific custom specifications. The system is praised for life-size, transparent, open, and dynamic sound reproduction, with a softer and more natural high-frequency response when paired with high-headroom amplifiers. The design philosophy favors a vertical line array of smaller drivers over traditional large woofers to optimize performance and reduce distortion.
