About the PR-T1 Line

The WAVAC PR-T1 is a three-chassis, transformer-coupled tube line preamplifier manufactured in Japan. Its signal path uses 12AU7-family tubes and input/output transformers without coupling capacitors, with a precision stepped attenuator for volume control. The PR-T1 provides a 20 Hz–100 kHz frequency range, a signal-to-noise ratio above 85 dB, and approximately 600-ohm output impedance for both RCA and XLR outputs. Standard configurations provide three RCA and two XLR inputs, with RCA/XLR output options available to order. The main chassis is machined from a thick solid aircraft-aluminum block. It is a line-level preamplifier rather than a power amplifier or phono preamplifier.
