The Warwick Acoustics Bravura DA-1 is an integrated electrostatic headphone system that includes the Bravura electrostatic headphones and the Sonoma M1 DAC/amplifier/energizer. The headphones utilize proprietary High-Precision Electrostatic Laminate (HPEL) transducers, handmade and individually matched for ultra-low distortion, wide bandwidth (10 Hz to 60 kHz), and increased sound pressure level. The Sonoma M1 amplifier is a high-performance, single-ended, discrete FET Class-A amplifier optimized for the HPEL transducers, delivering up to 145 volts RMS drive and 1350 V DC bias voltage. It features a 32-bit ESS Sabre Reference DAC, a 64-bit double-precision fixed-point DSP, and an AKM 32-bit/384 kHz ADC for superior digital audio processing. The system supports USB (up to 384 kHz), coaxial (up to 192 kHz), and analog inputs (digitized internally), with a robust CNC-machined aluminum chassis designed for low noise and heat dissipation. The headphones have large oval magnesium earcups with thick sheepskin pads and a lightweight magnesium and polymer frame for comfort during extended listening. The system is acclaimed for its pinpoint imaging, wide soundstage, exceptional instrument separation, and natural, life-like sound reproduction. It is available in Silver and a special Black Edition.
