About the Velocitor

The Walker Audio Velocitor is a passive AC power line conditioner / power line enhancer housed in a solid maple enclosure, roughly 10 x 7.25 x 7.5 in size. It follows a strict minimalist design philosophy, with no transformers, chokes, capacitors, active filters, surge protection, power switches, LEDs, or voltage regulation circuitry, in order to avoid anything that might impede current delivery or degrade sound quality. Internally, the Velocitor uses a complex parallel wiring scheme rather than a central bus bar, with deep-cryogenically treated ultra-pure silver/copper conductors running from the IEC inlet to six top-mounted outlets. The wiring, IEC, and outlets are cryo-treated as part of Walker Audio's process to improve conductivity and performance. Mechanical resonance control is a core design element: the unit is fitted with miniature Walker Audio Valid Points and lead-filled Resonance Control Discs inside the enclosure to attenuate powerline-induced mechanical resonances, and it is typically supplied with additional resonance control discs for use on or under the chassis and on the dedicated stand. The Velocitor is voiced to provide fast, clean, unimpeded power, emphasizing improvements in speed, dynamics, focus, soundstage, and low-level detail, and it is widely used in high-end systems with premium power cords and sometimes on matching stands. It is regarded as highly transparent, with notable gains in resolution and bass control when inserted into resolving audio setups.
