About the DHT 101D

The Vu Jade Audio DHT 101D is a tube-buffered digital-to-analog converter using a discrete R-2R resistor-ladder conversion stage and directly heated 101D triodes in its analog output stage. Its architecture includes FIFO buffering and re-clocking for jitter reduction, transformer coupling between the digital and analog sections, point-to-point direct wiring, and a tube-regulated, choke-filtered analog power supply. Vu Jade specifies use of two Psvane or Full Music 101D output tubes, with 6C45Pi, 226, GZ34/5AR4 and OA2/OC2 supporting tubes in the power-supply/regulation circuitry.
