About the IT-85

The VTL IT-85 Integrated Amplifier is a high-performance vacuum tube amplifier combining a fully active preamplifier stage and a power amplifier in a single chassis. It delivers 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 80 watts into 4 ohms with a class-AB1 push-pull tetrode output stage. The amplifier features five line-level inputs, a buffered preamp output, a processor/amp input loop, tape outputs, and a headphone output driven from the tube output stage and output transformer, making it suitable for high-quality headphone listening. It supports future upgrades such as gain-matched horizontal biamping with the VTL ST-85 power amplifier. The IT-85 is hand-built in California with high-quality components including Svetlana EL34 power tubes, 12AU7 and 12AT7 signal tubes, and custom transformers. It offers remote-controlled volume and mute, automatic mute on power up/down, and individual output tube bias adjustment points. The amplifier is available in black or silver finishes and weighs approximately 65 lbs.
