About the Goldy
The VPI Goldy is a high-performance dual moving-coil phono cartridge developed in partnership with Audio-Technica, using the award-winning AT-OC9 series as its base. It features VPI's specific voicing for high separation, wide responsiveness, enticing presence, and a natural midrange. The cartridge employs a special line contact stylus on a nude boron cantilever, with internal and dampening modifications similar to the VPI Shyla, plus additional material changes. Named after the VPI owner's daughter, it is designed for optimal performance on VPI tonearms, offering punchy bass, detailed highs, and exceptional speed and resolution. Mount: Half-inch.
