The VPI TNT HR-X is a culmination of over 25 years of turntable engineering, designed for exceptional analog LP playback. It features a composite triple-laminated acrylic and aluminum chassis with an inverted bearing and Teflon thrust plate for frictionless performance and durability. The turntable incorporates an integrated dual motor drive with a flywheel, allowing a compact footprint of 25" by 19" and includes VPI's Aluminum Platter weighing 30 pounds for improved sound quality, speed regulation, and dynamics. The chassis uses air suspension to reject 98% of acoustic feedback without additional isolation platforms. It comes complete with the JMW 12.7 tonearm wired with Nordost Valhalla cable, a periphery ring clamp to flatten records without vacuum systems, and the SDS Synchronous Drive System for precise speed control and power line filtration. The turntable supports 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speeds, with 78 RPM available as an upgrade. The design emphasizes low rumble, wow, and flutter below measurable limits, delivering explosive dynamics, pinpoint accuracy, and phenomenal detail.
