About the Scout 1.1

The VPI Scout 1.1 is a manually operated, belt-driven turntable with a solid MDF-and-steel chassis, a 6061-aluminum platter, and a VPI JMW 9-inch unipivot tonearm. It supports 33 and 45 rpm operation, uses an inverted bearing with a PEEK thrust disc, and includes a screw-on record clamp. Cartridge fitment varies by package; the turntable is also sold without a cartridge, allowing the owner to choose one separately. Its modular design supports upgrades such as improved feet and other accessories.
