The JMW Memorial 12.5 tonearm is an improved version of the original JMW Memorial 12" arm, with the ".5" indicating an upgrade rather than a length increase. It features a single large-diameter nut mounting directly onto the armtube for a more rigid connection to the armboard or plinth. Rigidity is further enhanced by a second contact point via a small pillar near the armrest, which is locked in place after VTA adjustment. The azimuth adjustment collar has weights added on either side to move mass below the bearing pivot point, and a new counterweight design lowers the arm's center of mass. Inside the armtube, damping is improved by a third elastomer layer near the bearing end. A small V-groove is machined into the headshell top to aid in setting headshell tilt during azimuth adjustment. The arm is designed for precise tracking and stability, making it suitable for high-end vinyl playback.
