The VPI 10.5i tonearm is a special edition uni-pivot arm used on the VPI Classic 1 turntable. It features a rigid mount mode that sacrifices 'VTA on the fly' adjustments but retains most of the acclaimed sound quality of the JMW-10.5i tonearm. The arm includes a larger dropped counterweight for improved stability, a large knurled VTA tower for precise adjustment during play, and azimuth side weights for enhanced stability. It supports fluid damping for cartridges that require it and offers optional balanced XLR output connections. The arm is designed to provide exceptional speed and low bass detail, with all parameters adjustable. The Classic 1 turntable with this arm has a solid, non-resonating laminated one-piece chassis, a new investment cast aluminum high inertia platter with precision inverted bearing, and speed stability comparable to a master tape. The turntable weighs 45 lbs and measures 20.75"w x 15.75"d x 10"h including the tonearm wire loop. Additional options include a dustcover, center weight, periphery ring clamp, and SDS power supply. The 10.5i arm is highly regarded for its sonic performance and stability.
