The Von Schweikert Audio VR-4SR is a 3-way, 5-driver loudspeaker system featuring two 8.5" aluminum cone woofers, one 7" Aerogel midrange driver, and two tweeters (1.5" silk dome and 1" fabric dome). It offers a frequency response from 20Hz to 25kHz, a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, and a sensitivity of 92dB. The crossover frequencies are set at 190Hz and 1900Hz. The speaker weighs approximately 150 lbs and measures 44 x 11 x 24 inches. It is finished in premium woods such as African hazelwood, dark red cherry, sycamore, or ebony. The VR-4SR is designed with a complex Global Axis Integration (GAI) circuit that optimizes time, phase, amplitude, and impedance for exceptional imaging and soundstage, providing a holographic and lifelike listening experience. It is recommended to be driven by amplifiers rated between 20 to 500 watts. The speaker is built with constrained layer damping, thick MDF panels, and internal bracing for rigidity and minimal resonance. The VR-4SR is highly regarded for its smooth, warm, and detailed sound with excellent transparency and imaging capabilities.
