About the SM011

The SM-011 Monaural Power Amplifier is a high-end Class A/AB mono power amplifier from Vitus Audio's Signature Series, designed for exceptionally transparent and controlled sound reproduction. It offers approximately 25W in pure Class A and 200W in Class AB into 8 ohms, doubling to 50W Class A and 400W Class AB into 4 ohms, ensuring ample drive for demanding loudspeakers. With a bandwidth extending to +800kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio better than 110dB at 1kHz, and THD+N below 0.01%, it delivers very clean, low-noise performance. The SM-011 features both XLR and RCA inputs (2V RMS, 10kΩ), a low 0.075Ω output impedance, and Vitus Audio's sophisticated Class A biasing for optimal musicality and dynamics. Power consumption is under 1W in standby, around 70W in Class AB idle and 135W in Class A idle. Housed in a robust aluminium chassis with integrated heatsinks and weighing 36kg per mono unit, the SM-011 combines mechanical stability with elegant industrial design. Replaced by the SM-025; considered discontinued circa 2020.
