About the MP-P201 Mk.III

The Vitus Audio MP-P201 Mk.III is a flagship, dual-chassis MM/MC phono preamplifier in Vitus Audio’s Masterpiece Series. Its separately housed external power supply and phonostage chassis are built with aluminium body parts. The Mk.III uses discrete gain-stage modules derived from those developed for the MP-L201 line preamplifier, optimized here for exceptionally low-noise amplification of cartridge-level signals. It provides two balanced XLR stereo inputs and two single-ended RCA stereo inputs, with independently selectable gain and cartridge loading. Both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA line outputs are provided. Settings span 11 gain steps for both MM and MC operation and extensive resistive loading options, making it suitable for a very broad range of moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.
