Named after composer Johann Sebastian Bach, the Vienna Acoustics Bach Ultimate Edition is a limited-edition compact floorstanding loudspeaker created to celebrate both the 30th anniversary of the original Bach (introduced in 1995 for the North American market) and the 300th anniversary of Bach. This two-way rear-vented bass reflex design pairs a proprietary 7-inch XPP mid/bass driver, Vienna Acoustics transparent cone made from a specialized thermoplastic/polypropylene composite, with the company exclusive hand-coated 1-inch silk dome tweeter, shared with their Liszt and Beethoven Reference models. The combination delivers a surprisingly large soundstage, high resolution, and natural midrange from a slim, room-friendly tower. The Bach Ultimate Edition is handcrafted in Austria and finished exclusively in a premium Rosewood veneer, with furniture-grade cabinetry and a single pair of high-quality binding posts. Rated at 4 ohms, 90 dB sensitivity, and recommended for amplifiers between 30 and 200 watts, it is easy to drive yet capable of substantial dynamic expression. Only 100 pairs were produced for the US and Canada, making it a rare loudspeaker that blends refined aesthetics with engaging musical performance.
