About the X-1IIE MM
The Victor X-1IIE is a high-quality moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge designed for audiophiles seeking precise and extended frequency response. It features a 0.15 mm square elliptical nude diamond stylus (DT-X1) that ensures accurate groove tracking and minimal distortion. The cartridge uses a titanium tapered pipe cantilever, which contributes to its low mass and excellent transient response. It delivers an output of approximately 3.0 mV at 1 kHz and 5 cm/sec velocity, with a frequency response spanning from 10 Hz to 40 kHz, allowing for detailed and dynamic playback of vinyl records. The X-1IIE is noted for its excellent condition in used markets and is regarded as a strong performer in vintage MM cartridges, though it is considered slightly less advanced than the X-1II model with a beryllium cantilever and Shibata stylus. It is no longer in regular production but remains sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
