The Victor TT-101 is a laboratory series direct-drive turntable manufactured by JVC (Victor) in Japan between 1977 and 1984. It features a coreless DC servo motor with quartz-locked positive and negative servo control, allowing precise speed stability and pitch control. The turntable supports two speeds, 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, with a pitch adjustment range of ±6 Hz in 1 Hz increments based on a 440 Hz reference. It has a quick start time of 0.6 seconds and a quick stop within 1 second. The platter is a 310 mm (31.6 cm) aluminum diecast weighing approximately 2.05 kg. The TT-101 offers excellent wow and flutter performance (0.02% WRMS), a high signal-to-noise ratio of 75 dB (DIN-B), and minimal speed deviation (0.002%). It weighs about 10 kg and measures approximately 358 x 150 x 358 mm. Optional accessories include tonearms UA-5045, UA-7045, UA-7082 and plinths CL-P1, CL-P2, CL-P3. The TT-101 was notable for introducing pitch control in a direct-drive turntable and is considered a high-end professional model from its era.
