The VH Audio DIY 28ga Fine Silver RCA Interconnect uses 28 AWG UniCrystal OCC .99999 purity solid core silver wire insulated with cotton to minimize skin effect, time smear, and dielectric absorption, while maximizing vibration dampening. The cotton insulation has a low dielectric constant (1.3-1.4) compared to solid Teflon, reducing static charge and improving mechanical damping. The wire is housed in 1/4" diameter HyperFlex Teflon tubing. These interconnects have ultra-low capacitance and have been demonstrated to outperform well-known + interconnects in blind tests. The RCA connectors used are KLEI Absolute Harmony plugs, which feature >106% IACS conductivity pure silver alloy pins with ultra-high purity silver plating to prevent oxidation. The pins are optimized for enhanced electron flow and arranged to minimize capacitive, inductive, and electromagnetic interference effects. The connectors have a redesigned jaw structure for a secure snap-like connection and use two screws for cable retention.
