About the RG1 Groove
The Vertere Acoustics RG-1 Reference Groove embodies Vertere's expertise in high-end audio engineering and turntable design, offering uncompromising performance through precision engineering and premium materials. It features a super precision main bearing assembly with an aerospace-grade phosphor bronze housing, a tungsten carbide spindle, and a silicon nitride ball, lubricated with proprietary L-1G oil for near-silent operation. The unique two-piece platter assembly is machined from aluminium alloy and designed to create a linearly damped, non-resonant structure, providing a silent platform for the tonearm and cartridge. The plinth is constructed from multiple layers of clear cast acrylic with a sophisticated isolation system combining compliant and rigid stages to minimize vibrations. The motor is a 24-pole synchronous type mounted on an articulated acetal platform with precision bearings and silicone springs to maintain constant belt tension and speed stability. The RG-1 supports 33.3 and 45 rpm speeds with wow and flutter less than 0.02% and rumble below -85 dB. This turntable is designed to extract maximum detail, dynamics, and musicality from vinyl records, recreating the live music experience with a dark background and lifelike soundstage.
