The Velodyne HGS-18 mkII is a high-performance powered subwoofer featuring an 18-inch forward-firing woofer with a 15.2" piston diameter and a powerful 220 oz. magnet structure. It incorporates an accelerometer-based servo control system for extreme accuracy and low distortion (less than 0.5%). The built-in Class D amplifier delivers 1250 watts RMS and 3000 watts peak power, enabling deep and powerful bass reproduction down to 15Hz. The subwoofer offers adjustable low-pass crossover (40 to 120Hz), selectable high-pass crossover outputs (80 or 100Hz), phase control (0° or 180°), and a subsonic filter (15Hz or 35Hz). Inputs include balanced XLR, line-level RCA, and speaker-level connections with 5-way binding posts. Additional features include signal sensing auto on/off, variable volume control, and a magnetically shielded cabinet finished in gloss black piano veneer. Dimensions are approximately 23.5" H x 21.25" W x 18.5" D, weighing about 105 lbs.
