The Velodyne SPL-1000IIB is a high-performance powered subwoofer with a 10-inch front-firing Kevlar-reinforced resin cone driver mounted in a die-cast aluminum basket. It incorporates a patented Energy Recovery System (ERS) Class D amplifier delivering 1000 watts RMS and 2000 watts dynamic power with over 97% efficiency, ensuring minimal heat generation and high reliability. The subwoofer features a frequency response of 24-120 Hz (±3 dB), an adjustable low-pass crossover from 40 to 120 Hz, and a fixed high-pass crossover at 80 Hz (6 dB/octave). It includes line-level (RCA) and speaker-level inputs with binding post connections, line-level outputs with 80 Hz high-pass crossover, and selectable phase control (0° or 180°). Additional features include signal sensing auto on/off (defeatable), variable volume control, magnetic shielding for video use, and a robust 346 oz magnet structure with a 3-inch dual-layer inside/outside wound copper voice coil for linear excursion and heat dissipation. The enclosure is an acoustic suspension sealed cabinet designed for precise bass reproduction. The subwoofer weighs approximately 47 lbs and comes with a two-year warranty on parts and labor.
