About the 2Ce

The Vandersteen Audio 2Ce is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for high-fidelity music reproduction. It employs a 1" alloy-dome tweeter, a 4.5" midrange driver, an 8" woofer, and a 10" acoustic coupler in Vandersteen's time- and phase-coherent, baffle-less cabinet architecture wrapped in a cloth sock with natural oiled wood trim. It offers a frequency response of 29Hz–29kHz within ±3dB and 32Hz–21kHz within ±1.5dB, with crossover points at 600Hz and 5kHz using first-order 6dB/octave slopes. Nominal impedance is 7 ohms (minimum 4 ohms), and sensitivity is 86dB/W/m. Recommended amplifier power is 40–160 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The enclosure measures approximately 39.75" high by 16" wide by 10.25" deep and weighs about 60 lbs each. Finish is an acoustically transparent cloth sock over the structural cabinet with natural oiled wood accents, and matching tilting base plates/stands are available as an option. The 2Ce was manufactured by Vandersteen Audio in Hanford, California, and carried a standard 1-year warranty extendible to 5 years upon registration.
