The Van den Hul The First Ultimate (MkII) is a groundbreaking metal-free audio interconnect cable designed for the highest quality unbalanced/asymmetric line-level audio and SPDIF digital audio connections (75 Ohm for short distances). It features a coaxial construction with a Linear Structured Carbon (LSC) center conductor consisting of 12,000 individually insulated 7 micron strands (total diameter 1 mm), preventing cross-fiber electron movement for cleaner sound reproduction with no dynamic compression, extended low-level detail, and zero harshness. The center insulation is polyethylene foam for low capacitance and minimal dielectric absorption. The outer shielding/return uses 6 layers of braided LSC fibers totaling 114,000 individually insulated fibers (quad LSC saturated shielding) for superior hum rejection. The light yellow Hulliflex jacket provides excellent mechanical protection and chemical stability. External diameter is 7.8 mm, matching C-8.0 RCA connectors. Available in stereo pairs (RCA-RCA) at 0.8m and 1.0m lengths, or single for SPDIF. It delivers exceptional spatial reproduction and jitter-free digital performance.
