The Van den Hul Colibri is the pinnacle of A.J. van den Hul's phono cartridge designs, succeeding the Grasshopper Beauty series with a minimalist magnetic circuit for reduced distortion, noise, and mass. This enables superior tracking, detail retrieval, and instrument decay reproduction. Available in custom variations with different body materials (wood -W, carbon plastic -P, metal -M, amber -A), coil types (crystal copper XC or gold XG), and outputs. XG version suited for classical music at 0.38mV; XC low output 0.22-0.30mV; special high-output versions up to 1.1mV in Master Signature models. Features hybrid design, halogen-free construction, cross-shaped modulator (X), proprietary VDH-1S stylus, and short cantilever for precise groove transduction. Special customer tuning available, including personalization.
