About the Van L Quartet
The Van L Quartet speakers utilize a unique ambient recovery system that employs dual voice coil drivers and an additional connection between the speakers to pass differential information, resulting in a wide soundstage and a larger than usual sweet spot. The crossover is a 1st order series design with only four high-quality elements in the signal path, including Alpha-Core inductors, Clarity capacitors, and Dueland resistors, components The crossover is hand-assembled with crimped and soldered connections and rubber-mounted elements to isolate them from the cabinet for improved dynamics and clarity. The speakers are praised for their outstanding detail, non-fatiguing sound, and ability to perform well in both small apartments and larger rooms. They produce exceptionally clear highs and well-positioned sound, with a frequency response extending down to approximately 50 Hz, often complemented by a subwoofer for full-range performance. The speakers weigh about 35 pounds each and measure roughly 20" x 8" x 14". They are designed and built by Van L Speakerworks in Chicago, with a focus on meticulous craftsmanship and sonic excellence.
