The VAC Renaissance 30/30 MkIII is a pure Class A, push-pull 300B triode stereo power amplifier delivering approximately 30 watts per channel, designed for highly natural, dimensional sound with minimal or no global negative feedback. Each channel uses a pair of 300B directly heated triodes as output tubes, with 6SN7 twin triodes in the driver and phase-splitter stages. The circuitry is hand-wired with short signal paths and high-quality output transformers for excellent linearity and control. The design emphasizes wide bandwidth and stability into real loudspeaker loads, with the 300B operated at relatively moderate voltages that facilitate superior output transformer design and preserve the tube's characteristic midrange richness and spatial realism. The Mk III update and Signature variant incorporate VAC's later refinements including parts and layout upgrades, but core architecture, tube complement, and power rating remain the same.
