The VAC Renaissance 70/70 Series III Signature is a dual-mono, zero-feedback, all-triode tube power amplifier using 300B output tubes in push-pull configuration to deliver approximately 70 watts per channel in pure Class A operation. The design uses four 300B tubes per channel and operates at plate voltages around 450 VDC, enabling lower output impedance, improved output transformer performance, and better loudspeaker control compared with higher-voltage transmitting triodes. It is derived from VAC's Williamson-based input circuitry and is optimized for wideband performance and low distortion, with VAC literature specifying bandwidth extending well beyond the audio band. The amplifier is built as a true dual-mono unit with separate power supplies for each channel, and is voiced for a natural, spacious presentation with strong imaging and midrange realism characteristic of 300B triodes. As a Renaissance-series model from the 1990s and early 2000s, it is no longer in current production but remains sought after on the used market as one of VAC's classic triode power amplifiers.
