The Vacuum Tube Audio SP13 preamp is a 4-tube line stage preamplifier offering 4 inputs and 1 output, featuring remote control input and volume. It is designed to provide about 90% of the performance of the higher-end SP14 model but at roughly half the cost, achieved by using a Chinese chassis and a simpler power supply. The SP13 is fully assembled and tested, The PH12 phono board is an add-on designed for high-quality phono amplification, suitable for moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, providing accurate RIAA equalization and low noise. The combination offers a traditional tube sound with a balance control and standard Alps pots for volume control, delivering a pleasing timbre especially for vinyl enthusiasts.
