The UpTone Audio UltraCap LPS-1.2 is a high-performance linear power supply featuring a single output capable of delivering up to 1.1 amps. It offers selectable output voltages of 5V, 7V, 9V, or 12V via a switch on the back, broadening compatibility with various audio and computer devices such as UpTone's ISO REGEN, Sonore microRendu and ultraRendu, SOtM streamers, small DACs, headphone amps, USB>S/PDIF converters, and more. The LPS-1.2 uses a pair of paralleled Linear Technology LT3045 voltage regulators, achieving an ultra-low noise level of 0.8µV RMS and an output impedance around 3 milliohms over a wide frequency range (10Hz-100kHz). It is powered by a custom 7.5V/4.8A/36W world-voltage-compatible tabletop SMPS and includes a 70cm 16awg DC cable with 5.5mm x 2.1mm plugs. The unit measures 110mm wide x 112mm deep x 30mm tall (plus 6.5mm for rubber feet) and features standard DC barrel connectors. An LED indicator shows operational status, controlled by a 4096 logic-element FPGA for safe and reliable performance. The UltraCap LPS-1.2 is backed by a 3-year warranty and is noted for improving sound quality by providing speed, ultra-low output impedance, and stable voltage under varying loads, resulting in enhanced detail retrieval, smoothness, and dimensional layering in audio systems.
