The URC MSC-400 Master System Controller is a sophisticated home automation controller that manages up to 12 devices via IR and RS-232, with six IR-only outputs and six IR or RS-232 outputs. It supports on/off status detection for up to six devices using video or voltage sensors, enabling intelligent system control and automation. The MSC-400 features programmable relays for controlling screens, lifts, drapes, amplifiers, and other devices, with configurable switch closure modes including latching, timed momentary, and momentary operation. It supports complex macros with nested IF/ELSE logic, allowing conditional commands and system status feedback. The controller uses narrow-band RF communication (418 MHz) with a range of 50 to 100 feet and can be expanded by linking two MSC-400 units to control up to 22 devices. Programming is done via URC's Complete Control Suite software, requiring experience with compatible remotes such as MX-3000, MX-950, MX-900, and TX-1000. The unit includes six IR emitters and supports additional accessories like video and voltage sensors for reliable device status monitoring. It measures 17.25" x 8.5" x 2.5" and weighs 77.6 oz.
