About the Phono RPS 100

The TW Acustic Phono RPS 100 is a valve phono preamplifier that offers a perfect blend of emotionality, technical excellence, and craftsmanship. It features two-stage amplification and active EQ with selectable EQ curves including RIAA, EMI, DECCA, MERCURY, and COLUMBIA. The unit supports multiple inputs (2 x RCA, 1 x XLR, with bespoke combinations possible) and a single RCA output. Gain is independently selectable for each input with 40dB for Moving Magnet (MM) and 68dB for Moving Coil (MC). Impedance matching is also independently selectable with options of 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 Ohms. Phase inversion and display on/off are user-selectable. The device uses 2x 12AX7 and 2x 6922 valves and includes a stabilized DC heater supply and high-quality MKP capacitors in the discrete power supply unit. MM capacitance can be selected internally from 47pF to 300pF. The chassis is constructed from thick aluminum plates with a black finish and features a blue display with white characters. Dimensions are 300x140x345mm for the main unit and 170x140x345mm for the separate power supply.
