About the GEM
The TTWeights GEM is a premium turntable designed with aircraft-grade materials and CNC machining to MIL-STD tolerances. It features a large cobalt bearing and a unique motor system that can operate as either a rim drive or belt drive, providing absolute pitch control and exceptional musical detail. The motor runs at 660 rpm with 4,400,000 steps per platter revolution at 33.33 rpm, ensuring ultra-smooth operation with high torque. The motor is mounted internally in a solid CNC machined 13.8 lb steel housing to minimize vibration. The GEM's modular design includes a decoupled motor, arm pod, power supply, and controller for silent operation. It supports various upgrade options and has a footprint of approximately 24" x 20" with a total weight between 60-75 lbs. The turntable is highly regarded for its musicality, timing, and transient response, making it a sought-after model among audiophiles.
