About the Phono
The Trinity Phono preamplifier is a state-of-the-art, fully balanced phono stage designed in Germany. It uses 96 low noise integrated circuits arranged in 24 symmetrical pairs per channel, eschewing step-up transformers even for ultra-low output MC cartridges. It features multiple RIAA equalization curves including standard RIAA, FFRR, EMI, and Columbia for pre-RIAA records. The design achieves noise levels lower than the noise of an unmodulated record groove, with a noise floor around -86dB and distortion so low that no harmonic distortion is measurable. The preamp has 12 gain stages in parallel, providing very high gain (up to 96dB) that eliminates the need for step-up transformers. It accepts only balanced XLR inputs and outputs, and includes manual volume control with 1dB step output level adjustment. The unit is housed in a robust flight case and is considered one of the finest phono preamps available, with a price reflecting its high-end engineering and performance.
