About the 12" Primary Control

The Tri-Planar U-12 is a high-end 12-inch tonearm based on over 55 years of design excellence. It offers improved resolution, detail, and dynamic range, with a 27% reduction in angular error compared to 9-inch tonearms. The arm features a carbon fiber wand with coaxial damping, avionic gimbal bearings, silver internal wiring, and a clamping yoke design for firm coupling. It includes adjustable vertical tracking angle (VTA), azimuth, and a progressive anti-skating system. The tonearm rest is integrated with a damping trough for resonance reduction, and the system uses a sophisticated decoupled counterweight. Installation is simplified with a 3-screw system and no large VTA hole. Available in black or silver.
