About the Argos
The Transrotor Argos is a high-end flagship turntable introduced around 2009, known for its exceptional build quality and advanced engineering. It features a chrome-plated solid aluminum chassis with cardanic suspension that allows the turntable to maintain perfect leveling and stability. The platter is driven by Transrotor's Free Magnetic Drive (FMD) system, which uses magnetic coupling to eliminate mechanical distortions from belts or motors. The Argos supports two 12-inch tonearms, allowing users to switch between cartridges easily. It weighs approximately 485 pounds and stands about 3.9 feet tall. The turntable includes a specialized power supply running three synchronized motors, a rotor ring, and oil-damped vibration dampers to minimize resonance. Only a very limited number of units have been produced, making it a rare and exclusive product.
