About the Temper Supreme

The Transfiguration Temper Supreme is an update of the original Temper cartridge, developed through a collaboration between Bob Graham and designer Seiji Yoshioka of Immutable Music. It employs a yokeless ring-magnet generator construction that places the moving coil at the focal point of the magnetic flux field, reducing phase errors and delivering exceptional focus and natural resolution. The cartridge is renowned for its neutral, characterless sound signature with a subjectively flat and smooth frequency response. Compared to the original Temper, the Supreme produces greater dynamic authority, blacker backgrounds, and superior image dimensionality. It represents one of the finest and most neutral-sounding moving coil cartridges available, offering honest reproduction of the midrange with an overall 'get out of the way' transparency that allows the music to speak for itself.
