About the F1 Fractal Speaker Cable
Townshend Audio's F1 Fractal range comprises both Fractal F1 speaker cables and F1 Fractal interconnect cables, each using proprietary Fractal-treated copper conductors and advanced mechanical and electrical design to maximise transparency and system compatibility. The Fractal treatment is a proprietary post–deep‑cryogenic metal process that alters the crystalline lattice structure of the copper, claimed to further improve resolution and musical detail beyond standard DCT conductors. The F1 Fractal speaker cable uses two Fractal-treated pure copper strip conductors separated by ultra‑thin PTFE, embedded in a polyurethane polymer for vibration damping, and enclosed in a flexible protective conduit, with constant-impedance geometry and integrated electronics for impedance matching and radio‑frequency interference (RFI) reduction in machined aluminium housings at each end. The F1 Fractal interconnects are hand‑built analogue signal cables (RCA or XLR) employing cryogenically and Fractal-treated copper conductors with controlled inductance, capacitance, and impedance to minimise signal loss and noise, positioned by Townshend as their reference-level interconnects.
