The Totem Acoustic Element Fire V2 is a high-end compact reference loudspeaker that combines innovative engineering with meticulous craftsmanship. Designed and manufactured in Montreal by Totem Acoustic, it features a proprietary 7-inch Torrent midrange/woofer with a precision-machined aircraft-grade aluminum chassis and a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter in its own sub-enclosure. The speaker employs a unique crossover design with only a first-order high-pass filter on the tweeter at 2.7kHz, allowing the woofer to operate full-range without any low-pass filter. This design philosophy optimizes phase and dispersion characteristics while the 17Hz free-air resonance of the Torrent driver contributes to perceived speed, control, and spatiality. The cabinet features no parallel surfaces and utilizes industry-unique borosilicate dampening.
