About the Wind

The Totem Acoustic Wind is a 3-way floorstanding speaker system with a totally unique four-driver configuration, including a specially damped long-throw 8.5" woofer, two 3" mid-woofers with neodymium magnets, and a 1" alloy dome tweeter with a low resonance chamber. It delivers a frequency response of 24 Hz to 21 kHz ± 3 dB in-room, with an impedance of 4 ohms and sensitivity of 87 dB. Recommended amplifier power ranges from 80 to 250 watts. The crossover frequencies are second order between woofer to mids and mids to tweeter. The cabinet is meticulously handcrafted with lock-miter assembly and borosilicate damping for structural rigidity and resonance control. Premium WBT connectors and a unique aluminum claw base provide acoustic decoupling and improved bass response. Dimensions are 10.7" wide, 44.3" high, and 14" deep (27.18 x 112.52 x 35.56 cm). Break-in time is 200 to 250 hours. The speaker is designed for placement 3 to 7 feet from the rear wall and 6 to 14 feet apart. It offers exceptional imaging, soundstaging, and deep bass without the need for a subwoofer, making it a compelling high-end speaker choice.
