About the Amp-1-sublime
The Totaldac Amp-1-sublime is a flagship solid-state amplifier from the French company Totaldac, designed with a discrete transistor gain stage and no global feedback for transparency and natural sound. It features Vishay Bulk Metal® foil resistors with 0.01% accuracy, a high 240V DC voltage design, and a powerful 2500VA transformer weighing 25kg to deliver high current and dynamic expression. The amplifier can be configured as a stereo amplifier with unbalanced RCA inputs or as fully balanced monoblocks with XLR inputs. It offers low noise (0.2 mV), high gain (33 dB), wide bandwidth (0.06 Hz to 400 kHz), and is stable down to 1 ohm loads. The stereo version delivers 2 x 150 W at 8 ohms, 2 x 300 W at 4 ohms, and 2 x 500 W at 2 ohms, while the monobloc version delivers 600 W at 8 ohms and 1000 W at 4 ohms. The amplifier weighs 54 kg and measures 483 x 230 x 453 mm. It is praised for its transparent, fast, and natural sound with punch and weight in the bass region. Available options include 120V or 100V power supplies and damping feet.
