About the SD9200
The Toshiba SD-9200 is a state-of-the-art DVD-Audio/Video player released around 2001, featuring multichannel output capabilities and support for multiple disc formats including CD, CD-R, CD-RW, Video CD, DVD-Video, and DVD-Audio. It offers advanced video features such as Super ColorStream PRO Progressive Output, 3D-DNR Video Noise Reduction, and a 10-bit/54MHz video D/A converter. The player is built with a high-mass, copper-shielded, well-damped chassis to reduce resonance and noise, and uses audiophile-grade polypropylene film capacitors in the audio signal path. It includes an Advanced Multi-Bit Delta Sigma DAC and an Adaptive Multi-Port Parallel DAC System for ultra-low distortion in two-channel operation. Audio features include built-in Dolby Digital decoding and HDCD processing. The SD-9200 supports 24-bit/192kHz PCM audio on two-channel outputs and 24-bit/96kHz on multichannel outputs. It provides 5.1-channel analog outputs for surround sound and digital coaxial and optical outputs for bitstream or PCM signals. The player does not internally decode DTS signals and does not support SACD surround playback, but can play hybrid SACD in two-channel stereo. Ergonomically, it has a sleek, minimal design with a thin disc drawer and a detachable grounded power cable. Some user interface limitations include manual switching between audio output modes for DVD-Audio and DVD-Video discs. Dimensions are approximately 16.75" W x 4.6" H x 12.25" D, weighing 24 lbs (11 kg). It was95 at release and came with a 90-day parts and labor warranty.
