About the D90 SE
The Topping D90SE is a high-performance balanced DAC designed as a successor to the original D90, utilizing the advanced ESS SABRE ES9038PRO 8-channel DAC chip with parallel channel configuration for superior audio quality. It incorporates a 2nd-gen 16-core XMOS XU216 USB processor for bit-perfect high-resolution decoding, including PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz, native DSD512 (USB/I2S) or DSD1024 (I2S), and full MQA decoding across multiple inputs. Key features include ultra-low distortion and noise floor, selectable preamp mode with volume control via remote or front panel, dual output voltage modes (4V/5V), and versatile connectivity with USB, Bluetooth 5.0 (LDAC, aptX HD, etc.), Optical, Coaxial, AES/EBU, and I2S inputs, plus simultaneous RCA and XLR outputs. It employs a switching power supply with high-performance isolation transformers for clean power delivery. The unit supports fixed or variable output, auto standby, and FIR filter options.
