About the A90

The Topping A90 is a flagship desktop balanced headphone amplifier and preamplifier using Topping's NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) topology with ultra-high-gain feedback for extremely low noise and distortion. It offers three gain settings (low/medium/high) and is designed to drive everything from sensitive IEMs to high-impedance, power-hungry full-size headphones, thanks to its very high output power (up to around 7.6 W per channel balanced at low impedances) and output impedance below 0.1 Ω. As a preamplifier it provides a low-noise, fully balanced signal path with switchable preamp/headphone-amp mode on the front panel, making it suitable as a transparent control hub in desktop audio systems. It is widely regarded by reviewers as an ultra-clean, highly transparent solid-state reference amplifier, noted for THD+N below 0.00006%, dynamic range around 145 dB, and an inaudible noise floor that makes it particularly well-suited for critical listening.
