About the Reference Lenco II
The TJN Reference Lenco Mk II turntable is a meticulously upgraded version of the classic Lenco L-75 idler-wheel drive design, extensively modified by Jean Nantais to optimize vibration control and drive train performance. It features a heavy, constrained-layer wooden plinth with a heavily dampened top plate to channel residual vibrations away from the tonearm and platter, resulting in a very low noise floor and improved musical clarity. The motor mounts and idler wheel have been custom designed to minimize vibration transmission and maximize longevity. The turntable is supplied with customizable armboards to accommodate various tonearms, such as the Jelco TK-950L 12" tonearm with removable headshell. The Reference Lenco Mk II is praised for its dynamic transient response, bass control, and detailed sound reproduction, often outperforming many contemporary turntables in its price range. It requires minimal setup out of the box and is considered a lifetime investment for serious analog enthusiasts. The price is approximately .
