The Threshold S/3700e is a multichannel solid-state power amplifier from Threshold Audio, designed for home theater and surround applications. It was produced in dedicated 6-channel and 7-channel versions, not as a 5-channel chassis that could be field-expanded. Each factory configuration offers high-power output per channel (approximately 120 W x 6 or 125 W x 7 into 8 ohms) and includes features typical of Threshold's later "e" series Stasis designs, such as balanced (XLR) and single-ended (RCA/line-level) inputs, 12V trigger capability, and gold-plated speaker terminals. The amplifier is built around a substantial high-current power supply in a full-width chassis measuring roughly 19" x 7" x 21.5" and weighing about 64 lb, consistent with Threshold's emphasis on robust construction and long-term reliability.
