About the FET Nine E

The Threshold FET Nine/e is a high-quality solid-state preamplifier featuring J-FET and MOSFET amplification with a minimalist design approach to reduce components in the signal path. It includes a phono stage compatible with both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, with switchable gain and selectable input impedance and capacitance. The preamplifier uses an outboard power supply to minimize interference and noise, and it has gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs. It is known for its very low distortion, excellent frequency and phase response, and musical yet slightly warm sound signature.
